About
This is the space to introduce your business
You may be asking yourself, “Why recovery coaching instead of addiction counseling?”
The answer is not because I lack the qualifications or commitment to pursue counseling licensure. In fact, I already hold a provisional CADC-R credential. The reason is actually about the level of care, accessibility, and human connection I can provide through recovery coaching.
While I fully respect the boundaries between coaching and counseling, recovery coaching allows me to support people in ways traditional systems and insurance models often cannot. If you are having a rough day, you can reach out. If you are coming out of treatment or rehab, I can meet with you multiple times a week if needed. Recovery does not always happen neatly within one scheduled clinical hour.
I also believe people deserve to be spoken to like human beings — not clinical cases. Sometimes people need support, accountability, structure, and someone willing to walk beside them without judgment.
Many recovery coaches have lived experience, and I am proud to say I bring over 14 years of sustained recovery experience myself, along with formal education and professional training. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Services from East Carolina University with a minor in Drug and Alcohol Studies. I have training in group process, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and experience facilitating structured recovery groups.
My goal is to step into the gray areas where many individuals fall through the cracks — the space between treatment, accountability, real life, and long-term recovery support.
During our first fit call, my focus is not on labeling you or overwhelming you with clinical terminology. I would rather learn who you are, what you are struggling with, and how I can best support your recovery journey.
I also want to help remove the stigma surrounding recovery coaching. While coaching is different from therapy or counseling, I still operate with professionalism, ethics, confidentiality, and respect. I continue to follow HIPAA standards and CADC ethical guidelines in all professional interactions.
Recovery is not something you should have to face alone. My goal is to walk alongside you — with honesty, accountability, support, and genuine human connection.
